With how the forum is set up I have a basic understanding where each fm is for and how to obtain them. Once I complete the games :)
Yes...TTLG is the premier treasure trove of THIEF goodness...Feast well...;)

That's okay...It's not a race. Better to take your time and savor the experience, rather than rush through it.

Guh, yeah, that damn Guild map takes forever. I'm setting aside most of tomorrow night to tackle it, I think. It's a fun mission in theory but the execution just drags on forever; I think I would've liked it if the sewer sections were done better. As it is they're mostly a series of blank tunnels with weird lighting.
I like it like that...It feels how an underground thieves den should feel...complex, maze-like, and difficult to grasp. The "blank tunnels with weird lighting" provide a disorienting effect, which serves as a defense to confuse those who don't belong there...Very appropriate, and this creates a unique challenge for the player.

This is a first for Com Chat I believe, Thief talking, and just game talking and its not going up in flames. Nice.

Er, no. I'm saying the tunnels are somewhat poorly designed. I can understand that sewer tunnels are meant to be kind of maze-like. But the tunnels in the Guild are kind of meh. They don't quite have that sense of "huge maze to get lost in" feel because everything is a little too close together; and the lighting is, much like the rest of Thief Gold, sometimes placed with absolutely no discernible reason.

I'm afraid no-one is truly initiated here until they've been shagged by our Mexican duck.

In addition to System Shock 2, you also must try Arx Fatalis. Shares some talent, takes quite a bit of inspiration in some areas (while retaining a different feel of its own), and is generally the sort of game which, I feel, someone who loves Thief is likely to also enjoy. Welcome to TtLG.
