Invisible to NPC's..not good... - by Bill123

Hi Morrowind players:
I had a problem whereby all NPC’s would not see me. I could not talk to them or them to me. I had been cheating and using a few mods…
About 3-5 hours into the game this happened..
So, I want to uninstall and re-install my game.
What’s the best way to save my save games and journal entries?
Or otherwise to fix this problem?
I had the game patched and had Tribunal installed also.
Appreciate any pointers you have.
Thanks,
Bill Kranz

This can happen if you have a very high level of Chameleon. That would be the first thing to check.

If you're only 3-5 hours into the game you might want to think about starting again. Or even just test out starting a new game to see if the problem still occurs.
Also, there's an enormous list of cheats (
http://www.actiontrip.com/cheats/theelderscrolls3morrowind.phtml) here - check you've not enabled any you didn't mean to. e.g. 'TAI' (toggle AI) sounds like a good candidate.

Cheating is not a good idea unless you know what you are doing. There is no real way to undo most cheats. And morrowind isn't fun if you cheat, espically since all the really fun cheats must be done with the editer.
I suggest restarting and not cheating, Morrowind is not the sort of game which you should cheat in.

Hi:
Thanks, I will look into my chameleon settings and the toggle AI and see if that makes a difference.
See you soon,
Bill

Could, would and should be said for almost any game, really . . Perhaps an exception being the stock market, by my logic ( which isn't
that logical :p ), if in that instance you can cheat and avoid notice whilst doing so - you bloody well deserve the benefits . . :)
