Why go the wired route, when you have access to Airplay now, and eventually Smartglass later?
You need Apple TV for that, right? Which costs 7 times more than the cable I picked up, and does it even work with Composite or would it just be HDTV? I'd be using the thing mainly on my folks old CRT telly when I visit so HDTV-cable won't do.

Knowing Apple, it probably uses their revolutionary, magical, and very proprietary iClarity wires, that produce a far superior signal than conventional digital cables (yuck!) and changed the way people view television. Again. Only $59.95 for a 3 foot cable. Get yours today before they change the end connection!
Yeah, Apple TVs are HDMI only. Though if you have an Xbox360, Smartglass will work through it.

Hadn't heard of Smartglass before. Looks interesting. Will have to try it out tonight.

I got to play with it at a friend's house. It doesn't offer you full on iPad-on-your-TV capabilities, but it is an interesting way to expand the feature set of your Xbox. Like you can look up a movie on your iPad and fire it off to the TV and whatnot. Pretty cool.

Played around with it a bit just now. It looks cool but after a few moments the novelty has worn off and you sorta realize it's just a clumsier way of navigating the XBox dashboard than if you just use the controller. Perhaps navigating Dailymotion, Netflix and IE would be slightly easier using the iPad but you need to be a Gold member to access those, and I'm not. I guess the one use I could possibly find for the Smartglass is the fact that using the iPad as a keyboard is less cumbersome than using a controller, but I hardly ever need to type anything on the XBox in the first place. And even if I do it's so little it's hardly worth the hassle of firing up Smartglass on the iPad just to do it.
So, uh... pass.

Yeah, that's one of the things I hate about the Xbox360. I can understand charging for features and whatnot, but having to pay to get access to the stuff you have to pay for is a little on the dumb end of things.
On a ligher note, (
https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/final-fantasy-iv/id575119311) Final Fantasy IV has come to the iPhone and iPad. It and VI are the best two Final Fantasy games made, and the DS remake did nothing but improve my opinion of it. Hopefully Square kept the difficulty intact in the port, because that's one of the things that made the game so enjoyable. It wasn't easy-waste-of-time-monster-fights then a semi challening boss. It kept you on edge from beginning to end.
Like all SE games, it's (relatively) expensive. But I think in this case, it's worth the price.

Picked up Anomaly Korea last night.

I really liked the first Anomaly game on PC and this one seems just as good. It's a tower offense game where most of your interactions with the battle is through setting the course of attack and then determining when to deploy power-ups for your units. The gameplay is quite simple, but surprisingly addictive. As for graphics, the game looks great, even on a first-generation iPad. Only 2,69€ right now, defenitely worth picking up if you want some light strategy-gaming on the go.

I tried it out and thought it was alright. Interesting, but not worth the $30 they're asking for the whole package. If you say it's pretty good, I might give it a roll later.
But right now, I've got my hands full with FF4, Baldur's Gate, and...

...which is grand on all fronts.

Keep in mind, I am not a huge FF fan. I just thought this one was fun on break at work and at night in bed. Looks really nice, too.
