LBA is awesome! Except for running into things and staggering backwards saying "oof!", which gets old really fast when you're trying to get somewhere in a hurry. I very strongly suspect you'll be able to disable that, though -- LBA2 sensibly omitted that annoyance, and the more modern LBA engine made it optional too. So it'll all be fine. Play LBA!
Edit: Just watched the video. Totally heard Twinsen's voice saying "Oooooohh" at the end :)

I've been steering clear of the whole Flappy Fad, but when the creators of Super Stickman Golf announced Flappy Golf, who am I to refuse?

It's great.

So I only like puzzle type thing on mobile devices because I need the tactile feedback of a controller or mouse for faster stuff.
The games I've really enjoyed on tablet/phone have been Monument Valley, The Room 1 and 2, Where's My Water, Cut The Rope and now this.

It's a puzzle game. Its simple, beautiful, calming. Great.

It's pretty cool, but it's also the perfect example of how NOT to do ads in a free game. Had to stop playing when I hit the second full screen video ad in less than five minutes.

Turns out it's pretty easy to hook up a PS4 controller to an iPad these days. And guess who's got a PS4 controller and an iPad just sitting around? THIS PERSON!
Jailbroke my iPad Air, hooked this thing up, and played a few of (
http://www.reddit.com/r/iosgaming/comments/1tv84f/giant_list_of_games_compatible_with_made_for/) the games that already have native gamepad support.
First impressions!Jet Car Stunts 2 - Controls are responsive as hell, but don't work in menus. You still need to tap and swipe to navigate them, but once you're in a level you can use the controller.
Oceanhorn - This works so goddamn great I don't even wanna stop playing it. Gamepad works even in the menus.
Limbo - Limbo actually works great with the standard touchscreen controls, and as such doesn't really
need gamepad, but it's nice to have nonetheless. With the gamepad it feels identical to how it felt when I played it on the 360.
Bike Baron - uses the dpad instead of analogue stick for leaning. Rudimentary menu support.
Shadow Blade - has controller support in menus but not in-game, weirdly enough.
Asphalt 8 - works great with a gamepad, even has different button configurations to choose from.
Anomaly 2 - controls so clunkily with a controller I wonder why they even implemented it. This one has been designed for touchscreen, with gamepad option seemingly only tacked on as an afterthought and an experiment.
Verdict:It's still early days for iOS gamepad support. Hopefully in time more games will support them. Oceanhorn, Limbo and Asphalt 8 clearly show that iOS games can feel as solid as console titles with a gamepad, but it'll take a bit of extra effort from devs to implement support properly.
Sadly Deus Ex: The Fall or GTA Chinatown Wars does not seem to have support. A shame, since they're two games I feel would benefit greatly (read: become playable) with a gamepad.
In somewhat related news, (
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vxgMGDoCFBI) Bioshock is coming to iOS soon. It's being ported by 2K China, who made the excellent iOS port of XCOM:EU.

Cheer up, me from 4 months ago, R* just updated Chinatown Wars and added MFi controller support! :D
However, it's implementation leaves a lot to be desired. :erg: To start with, the sticks and triggers are digital, not analogue. There's some weird button placement(LT accelerates, square brakes and reverses). And some of the buttons, like flying kick, aren't on the gamepad at all. And the sticks don't seem to register diagonal movement, meaning that those weapons that are in diagonal positions on the weapon-wheel? Yeah, you won't be using those. Unless you reach out and touch the screen to select them, that is. Minigames similarly seem to be hit and miss when it comes to gamepad controls, sometimes you can do parts of them with the controller but will then have to touch the screen to do other parts.
On the one hand it's nice of R* to give a 5 year old iOS title like this an upgrade, on the other this is so half-assed it's hard to get excited about it.

Hoplite, a turn based roguelike for Android and iOS. It looks like shit so you know it's gotta play pretty damn great if I'm recommending it! :thumb:

Hoplite is great for when you haven't got more than 10-15 minutes. It's pretty much the archetypical "Easy to learn, hard to master" game. I was addicted to it for a month or so, but then I burnt out on it. Perfect for mobile gaming, though.

I just managed to get the fleece. Does the game go anywhere from here, or is this it?
edit:nvm. figured out you can go further.

I've been playing a Rogue-like called Shattered Pixel Dungeon.
It's easy to die a lot, but it has a quick turnover. I've gotten to the 17th level so far.
Every fifth level is a boss, so my guess is the end is either level 20 or 25.
