The thing that disappoints me most is that (judging by the previews) they're using the same fucking monster closet AI as BS1 and 2 (I am going to suggest right now that we refer to this game as Infinite BS), but the premise as outlined would seem to have some really awesome true-RPG possibilities. You're basically playing a PI that's been smuggled into this city to find a specific person. You should be able to wander around the city and talk to people and such before everybody goes all The Crazies on you. I just have no faith that Irrational would actually do that. There'll end up being maybe 5 talking NPCs, and you'll have to kill each of them in a boss fight set piece that you can't lose because Elizabeth will bring you back to life every time you die.

God, tissue manufacturers would make a fortune off this thread from all the crying.

Did they do things other than try and kill you as soon as they saw you?

I guess the primary source of my confusion is if this is so original and different and not related to prior bioshocks, why is there a big daddy?
Okay, not big daddy, but big floaty brain person who looks and acts exactly like big daddy.

Well, besides the Big Daddies and Little Sisters which are non-aggressive, there were a few who didn't try to kill you even if you attacked them.
That's not really what monster closet AI is though. NPC's in 99.9% of all games try to kill you when they see you, including the game Bioshock was spiritual successor to.

Well, that was a solid teaser. URRRRGNGNGGNGN THEY WON'T HAVE LEAN OR INVENTORY SO I AM UNINTERESTED.

My girlfriend thinks she has the plot twist figured out just from watching the trailer: it's actually the kidnapped telekinetic girl who's keeping everything in the air.
I am 99% sure this is correct.
