I'm sure this will be very well produced but it just doesn't interest me at all. I'm sure its because I disliked BS so much but I can't get past that.

So, they aimed at historically referent topical fantasy and it ended up as another game in the exact same franchise.
Why is Irrational so desperate to have us electrocute people?

BTW, I suppose this thread should be moved to the Bioshock forum now.

Okay, reading the whole thing more in-depth, I'm waiting with cautious interest. As long as Ken Levine doesn't say "super fucking subversive" (Columbia seems to be a pretty obvious dig on American imperialism) the illusion will be maintained and I can continue to care.
Well, the thing that's utterly retarded is that the turn of the century had its own "OMG US FOREIGN POLICY IS FUCKED" moments like the Spanish-American War, but the game is going to obviously subvart teh gibsun by being a big tactless metaphor for how fucked up Ken Levine thinks 20th century America is. Because it's a unique, fresh idea, you see.

Three immediate questions:
So that's 4 almost identical looking games coming/come out of the extended Irrational fold now. Does that and the two new Fallouts saturate the market for retrofuturism or can it stand a bit more?
Wonder how long they spent trying to work Bioshock into XCOM's title- BioshoXCOM, perhaps?
Does Elizabeth wander around tidying up after various snafus being polite to people and trying to spin all your actions into a positive light?
But as NV says I bet it will have that shitty always on DRM 2k has been putting on all their games lately.
Now in true internet fashion I will actually go and look at the video...
Since I thought Bioshock was a decent game I'm willing to be convinced that there may be enough of a difference for it not to just be Bioshock: The New Class. Sure has made a better impression than XCOM.

I agree, that animator needs some serious education

Physics does not work that way!My god. That shot makes me want to track down the animator responsible, force him to try to balance a baseball bat on the palm of his hand, then beat him with it.
Before you critique the physics, ZB, you need to keep one thing in mind: the game is based in a floating city, circa 1912.
