I'm trying to help a friend (another taffer like us (hey hey one day we'll take over the world)) to write a decent walkthrough for thief 2 (I've only had it a week and loved it so much I finished it (cheat free might I add there is nothing worse than cheating on your first go)) but I thought about using a trainer so I'm not spending all my life ghosting a mission which takes so much time.
I've downloaded a trainer and tried to use it but it only works for the missions up to The Bank. Is there something special I must do so it will work (like some ritual of opening the thief game then the trainer then going back to the game and pressing F7/F8, or something else) or does it just not work on XP?
Help as I have limited time to write them and I always like to deliver on my walkthroughs to make them funny and indepth even there are lots out there, I like to give it the 'pennie' touch lol

Why don't you just use dromed? Then you can delete guards, move yourself around, find all the loot etc.

I don't think I have dromed as I have the 'sold out' version of the game. Although does thief gold (which I haven't played yet) have it?
I'll have a play around on dromed if thief gold has it (+ learn how to use it lol)

Sold Out does have dromed. I can't remember which disk though.

Dromed for Thief Gold will not work for Thief 2 missions. I don't know about the Sold Out version, but in the original release Dromed was on the Thief 2 CDs in a folder called Editor.

Thank you very much I've been able to start writing the walkthrough but I've run into a problem whilst playing through dromed - I can't walkthrough the portals. What have I done?

Yes the red glowly things. You put the red stones in the 'things' (i'm not feeling creative enough to think of what they are called) and then you jump into the portal but i just land on it and can't move.
