I just finished Cradle today... :erm:
All I can say is... that´s one of the most disturbed things I ever played in my life ! It manages to be worse than Cathedral, never thought that could be possible.
And yes... Garrett is SCARED inside that thing. He even make comments on how f*cked up this place is. And when he finally finishes the mission he says:
"I finally got out of this... place" - with a huge audio gap between THIS and PLACE. It´s as if he is trying hard to not even remember it.
It also plays with his fear of control because he is suddenly trapped in that forsaken place.
