Not the frikkin' shallow cliché that if a guy isn't stumbling over himself to win a woman's favor, he
must be gay or asexual.
SE made an annoying leap of "logic", choosing to take the low road.
Acutually you're the one making leaps. People are either straight, gay or asexual and I was actually tying to have a civilised discussuion.
Your leap is that I've somehow suggested that "if a guy isn't stumbling over himself to win a woman's favor, he
must be gay or asexual."."
Not at all. You initially said you agree with Garrett not being motivated by a desire for women. YOU never suggested that he would be stumling over himself so why should my addition to the discussion change this? All I was saying is that if he is striaght he'd have natural desires. Given his situation it wouldn't be abnormal for him to make comment or express desire for the charms of a lady, especially if one had offered him favours as part-reward for some job he is on.
Thanks for the drama. It's crap like this that is making me post and edit less and less.

But you did leap that way

You'd rather he was assexual or gay then?

There is no "leap" - that's just common sense. I really don't see the problem.

Garrett is not gay.

SE: It may be common, but lacks a sense of broader, grayer truth, to assume to know what I'm meaning, and to assume that it's easily categorised into such a generalisation as to make it sound like there are no other options, and that I think in small terms. It's understandable that you don't have a problem with your own view, which is not my own, which requires effort on your part to perceive. Common, yes--not what I was thinking, though.

Why the hell do all these discussions turn to questions on either Garrett's sexuality or the possibility that there was attraction b/w G and V?
Here's how I see it: G and V we're comrades in arms. Anything emotional between them is some squee-ing fangirl/boy idea for a bad fanfiction. For you people that quote how pissed Garrett got at her death, come on! Being emotionally charged over the death of a person you've been working with for awhile doesn't mean that you we're in love with them! Get over it!
Garrett most certainly likes women, the cragscleft mission proves that. The fact that women are not mentioned in any other objectives is probably an indication that Garrett is probably so good at thieving that he can either afford hookers or use desperate fangirls like that one store-owner from DS. And besides, the developers would've caught some flak if a reference to "doing it for the booty" was made in every other heist.

It
could be said that Garrett enjoys games of one-upmanship. Several examples come to mind....:sly:
Hmm.. forgot about this gem of a thread. I wonder what is so sly about your post.
