I doubt that Garrett's gay (not that there's anything wrong with that, mind you); he did have a fling with Mercedes, afterall (was that in an FM or was it in T2? - can't recall) and was definitely attracted to Viktoria (before she went all wonky-weird). I think part of his sex appeal stems from the fact that he's an anti-hero; a reluctant hero of sorts. He does what needs to be done, even though he's not happy or hyped that he has to do it and it's that kind of steadfast attitude a lot of people find appealing. 'Course, Garrett still is a thief; no two ways about it. But he only steals from people that need to be stolen from. ;) That part of his character just screams 'Bad Boy'!! And most women do love Bad Boys. Though Garrett seemed to grow more physically appealing with each successive game (IMHO) I, for one, had already found him appealing before the authors started prettying him up. *sigh*

That doesn't mean that he has forsaken romance. He's cynical - he's leery of anything and everything, including love.
