It collapses? You mean it crashes?
You might bring up the task manager and set it's processor affinity to use only one CPU.
Or you could run DDfix on dromed.exe by changing it's name to thief.exe temporarily.
Might solve your problem.

Yep. I fly around all the time (good for screenshots, avoiding some obstacles, faster than taking the stairs, etc.), and yep, the fixes for the games are needed for DromEd.
