Tried that together with runtime shadows. Think i overestimated the radius(was exactly the BBbox of a worker bot) and came to the conclusion that it has no effect. Good that you knew.
If you find/make a nice shadow graphic you could attach it via detailattachment to your AI.

I think it's time to revisit this topic :)
I have a couple of new questions
1. Is it possible to create automatic doors that open when approached and then close by themselves (like in real-life shopping malls)? They have to react to both the player and AIs.
1.1 Is it further possible to activate these doors by flipping a switch and have them non-operable at the beginning? What would be the way to do so?
2. Is it possible to create a friendly AI that follows Garrett as a bodyguard? I assume that it is, but have no idea as to how :)

You just described 99% of the doors in System Shock 2.

This is not a topic. I suggest that you post separate questions with proper titles so that those who know how will see your post and know what it is about. Posting a general "is it possible?" thread decreases your chance of getting answers and makes it harder for other folk to search and find later on if they have similar needs.
In answer to your questions, I believe that all are possible.

I wouldn't worry too much about posting too many seperate threads. :) There are already 17 years or so of posts and many of them might provide a similar answer to your specific needs.
