I got the collection as a back up for £6 including postage. For once, it's cheaper here in the UK :D

as for being cohesive, I haven't played the original DP, I have Gold, and a few of the levels feel a little out of place, is all. Like the Mage Towers, since they're not really mentioned anywhere else or have presence in a level again in either of the other games, they feel like they were added in for a new enemy. But it's cool because it gives the elemental keys that you need to get more expanded.
For already being a long game, the extra levels just make it more worth it, compared to games that are almost always less than 10 hours of playthrough recently.
Even with the collection with Thief Gold included, I had to patch it all up for Vista like I would otherwise, so don't be fooled thinking they will play out of the box.

And, IMO one level (I think I can say that it was TDP level #7 without ruining anything) from TDP was significantly worsened by TG changes. Do others agree with this? or is it just me?
I agree. I even made 'altered' version of TG with this particular level taken from TDP. Had to change mission objectives and remove one of the
talismans since you get it in another level in TG.

They are present in ONE of the other levels in TG. Some people wish they were not, judging by other posts in this thread. Doesn't bother me one bit, but I never played TDP.
For my money the only level in the game I really don't like is Maw of Chaos, which is in both.
Nephthys on 8/5/2010 at 05:11
the maw being the underground city with the ape men? I liked that level.. sometimes.
Yandros on 8/5/2010 at 12:26
No, that's Escape. The Maw is the final level.

I think of Thief gold as a gift, they loved it enough to add more, they wanted us to have more, can't knock that.
