Is the heart in TDS the mystics heart from the Bonehoard?

Is that the same heart? Or some other heart?

What is the connection with all 5 artifacts besides being sentient. Are they like erasers of glyphs? Or keepers of them?

I believe the Mystic Heart was a gemstone that is not the same as "The Heart" in TDS. There is nothing in Thief Gold that I can recall that suggests the Mystic Heart is anything special, much less sentient

The T1 Mystic's Heart--one of a pair of gems, neither of which are rubies, including the Mystic's Soul--is not the same as the Burrick's Heart Ruby in T3.

The Mystic's Heart is clear, translucent, and cut into a valentine heart shape. Seen here with the Mystic's Soul, the image seems washed out because the background is visible through the semi-visible gems:

The Burrick's Heart Ruby is a hunk of raw, uncut stone, resembling more of a real heart:

So other than the fact that they are gemstones, and have burricks associated with them, there is no definite connection. I would venture to say, the Burrick's Heart Ruby may have been inspired by the Mystic's Heart, but who knows?
