I know that only two names appear in the credits for male guards' voices, Stephen Russell and the other fellow, but hear me out:
I was just listening to an audiobook, "Antony and Cleopatra" from The Complete Arkangel Shakespeare. The man playing Antony is Belfast-born Ciaran Hinds, and he sounds EXACTLY like one of the Thief guards. When he raises his voice in anger I see T2 Mission 10, "Life of the Party" in my mind, where the guards have their big fight. The guard I have in mind is the somewhat more well-spoken of the two, the one who totally loses it and starts screaming incoherently at the end of the argument.
Anyone have inside dope on this?

I'll handle this one...
No. There is no uncredited voice actor in Thief.

The voice actor you're thinking of is Dan Thron.

Could you please tell me everything you know about this? How do you know it's "Dan Thron"? etc.

Is that the voice that sounds like James Mason?

Rustmonkey created their own trailer for
A Scanner Darkly a while back, and Dan Thron's voice is featured in the clip. He's one of the founders of the company, and they obviously didn't want to hire actors outside the company to do the voice-acting for their little project.
Their website ((
www.rustmonkey.com)) appears to have gone dead, and although I've checked on it only a few times in the past years, I know it hasn't been updated in ages. I dropped them a line once to ask them if they were still up and running, but never received a response. I fear they've gone out of business.

I swear the character Stephen (played by Simon McBurney) in The Reckoning sounds exactly like one of the characters that Stephen Russell voices in the Thief series.
In fact, before I looked the movie up on IMDB, I was sure that it had to be Stephen Russell himself.
