Hello Taffers,
recently I've replayed Thief Gold again and I realized that I was reconsidering my preferences regarding the levels. My favourite ones have always been mansion type missions with the exception of the Lost City, but now I'm in the middle of The Haunted Cathedral and Im really, really loving it, unlike my first time in the Old Quarter. Now I would like another similar experience, something that is not RHC, just because I will get to it soon.
Now, the last time I've played a fan mission there were just a handful of them and the biggest one was at 3MB, so getting back to any FM archive, after more than a decade, is an overwhelming experience, considering that 1) there are thousands of them 2) 90% of them are not properly reviewed, so I simply cannot know which is the mission that I'm looking for.
To your knowledge, is there any other mission that involved Old Quarter? Did anybody try to delve into this territory with a FM in all these years?

T2 FM "Dark Messiah" has more than half of the mission take place in that kind of setting, and does it pretty well too.
I know there are at least a few more I've played over the years that have a similar setting but I can't recall off the top of my head their names.

My 2006 mission (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=144648) What Lies Below takes place in the sewers below the Old Quarter cathedral and talks about the cataclysm and things related to those two OMs. And, I updated it just last Halloween for NewDark to boot.

While this might not be what you're looking for, Bones Ep. 1 takes place in the old quarter after the Mechanists restored and rebuilt large parts of it, so it plays mostly like a city mission, but still has some zombie-infested corners and - of course - crypts down below that you can explore.

Dark Messiah is excellent. The Greyfeather Gems II is also highly recommended. Well, and there is A Better Tomorrow, which is somewhat different. ;)

Thank you very much for all your suggestions and for your time.
I will try your missions, starting with What Lies Below, as it seems to be the closest to what I'm looking for.
One last question: it seems that Fan mission loaders have multiplied since the last time I've used the glorious Darkloader. Do you suggest me to stick with DL or try Garrettloader or FM-Sel?

My small FM "The Crazy Priest" also has a section in the walled Old Quarter, but it's not anything special.

Use FMsel for max compatibility. NewDark has the capability to load a mission's resources from another directory rather than dumping them and replacing / backing up files, as well as improved loading priorities which cause less file conflicts than the original Dark did. You can't mess up your installation using FMsel, and you'll have less issues with textures, objects and so on.
All of the old mission loaders are out of date and none of them use this feature. There was talk about updating DarkLoader a while back but I don't think anything has come of it.

Thank you.
