Yeah, while I was surfing the folk metal bands on YT, half of them had retarded white power comments. I get that they evoke tribal emotions--nevermind for another ethnicity than the band itself half the time--but the music shouldn't be about that.
Besides, aside from the inexcusable hatred, it's not like bagpipes really clench racial superiority here... They sound just like a shennai, zurna, zukra, arghul or other eastern reed instruments. And the guitar itself was brought into Europe by Arabs via Spain FFS.

As to Bohren... Bohren is great, no doubt, but it's not heavy. It's uberchill darkstyle. Sunset Mission is best album, best track is Black City Skyline.

Considering that Bohren's members have roots in hardcore bands and described their 1992 demo as a mix of jazz, Black Sabbath, and slowed down Autopsy, I think it counts.

The best songs from A Perfect Circle aren't really that hard but I put them in the same category because they're bleak like that (IMO). They're not exactly an obscure band though.
