i no longer have thief gold game = gave it to a friend who never played thief
but i have thief 1 and thief 2 and thief 3 games still
my question is,i wanted to play the extra missions from thief gold on my darkloader or thief 1 or 2,but want to know how i can go about doing that
would i have to get the mis files from thief gold and add them to my thief 1game or possible thief 2 game?
or would they have to be remade as fan missions? and would that be legal?
i reallly want to play them agian,even the bonus mis from thief gold,but not sure how to go about it
or does thief gold have files that neither thief 1 or 2 have?
leaving with the fm remake option?

not legally, no. Sorry, but possession is apparently 9/10ths of the law... You don't have the discs, you can't legally play the game.

I got an trilogy of Thief 1, 2 and 3 on the internet last month .... (NEW!!! for 11 euro's and some coins, incl. posting costs, just to be sure I can play the FM's again, when my old discs will be broken :ebil:

If you get it back there is 4 keys you can press to skip missions you have already played and just play the ones you haven't. Maybe someone could refresh my memory as to which keys they are.
I posted some links here including one for EB games that I think you can download it from. I can't believe they want 20 bucks for it though. That's quite a bit considering its age. I guess it can be difficult to find on disc now days. I just saw 3 copies at a flee market a few months ago but I bought a bunch of old Tomb Raiders instead. They sucked. I should have bought the Thief stuff. The Older Tomb Raider games were nothing like Legend or Anniversary. I immediately gave them away.

And yes....Thief gold has stuff that T1 or T2 don't have but there is a patch for download so people can play TG made Fan missions with T1. Probably just some scripts and textures. The patch does not actually turn T1 into TG.

Considering all the extra sounds, texts, objects, textures, movies, mission files, etc., that you'd NEED, you're better off just purchasing another copy.
Of course, if you must avoid purchasing online, you'll have to expect a long wait or a work-around to make your purchase.

I never had any problem with downloading games (paid for of course). I recently download Alpha Prime from Sprocket and The Suffering from Direct to Drive. Very fast download speeds
and just a few minor problems. With The Suffering that is. It is a fairly old game by technological standards and I got to play most of it before it shit on me. Many of the textures including myself disapeared. Hmmmmm...maybe downloading isn't so great. I guess it depends on how bad poison well guy wants to play it.
Alpha Prime played great though ! :)
