Shall probably make you pay for making a not-as-good joke by making you wondering about his serious reply.

At least that's something similar to what I like to do when people come up with ridiculous "kewl" stuff they're doing; I ask them seriously-naive what that is all about, hoping they realize their hokeyness. Doesn't work often enough, though.

Because you tried to pretend that you had got it and that it wasn't funny and so you had answered it as a serious question, which also didn't make sense. Basically you tried to cover your error with a lie and had to backtrack. Doesn't admitting it feel better?

I'm an awfully grumpy stickler sometimes. Like super OCD nuts and I need to learn to chill out a bit more.

I've learned a valuable lesson here to always be 100% serious when talking on the internet.
Can we add "Please do not under any circumstances be at all glib ever" to the forum rules please?
We need to remove any and all risk of ambiguity.
