Greetings all,
I'm a long-time lurker, having been visiting this community since early 2000 (when I got a copy of Thief: Gold).
Jump ahead six years, and I want to play Thief 2 again, having been a tad disappointed by Thief: Deadly Shadows.
Small problem: Having installed it, run through the various FAQs about how to run Thief 2 on a hyperthreaded/multiprocessor system, I got it working. Everything - movies, game, the whole bit.
Then I restarted my computer. I go to play, and *bang* Thief 2 is all of a sudden not compatible with my graphics card. It's an X800 Pro, running on latest drivers.
Anyone else had similar issues, and, if so, what can I do to resolve this?
Thanks in Advance.

ATI drivers are the reason I switched to Nvidia. Probably not much of a help, but what I remember from when I had my last ATI card I had to run some scripts EVERY TIME I wanted to play Thief. (though I think it was the movie fix and the hyper threading fix, but I had to run every time).
Also did you find the faq about modifying the ini for safe textures?
Sorry, not much help.

Any reply's a helpful reply I've found.
Yeah, I did check the FAQs, specifically for the safe texture manager bit, but it didn't make any difference. I honestly think the processor.bat file I created in accordance with the site that detailed how to set Thief 2's affinity is what caused the problem.
No matter, a simple reinstall solved it - just have to remember to manually set the affinity every time. But that's not too much to ask, really.
