The thief series, they will never change. They will always exist, in my hart, here and everywhere. today i started playing Thief1, i finished it in 1day :D now i am going for the 1st mission of thief 2. But there is a problem, i dont know if i have the excitement left to play Thief 3 :( its just it doesnt give me the feeling like i install and play thief 1 and 2. I know it has been said since the release of the third installment. And i say it again, and every taffer will say it. Just my thoughts, hope no one will get angry cuz of this thread:thumb: even if some do, i dont care :joke:

You're right, Thief will never change. Which is why generations of people will never become taffers, due to the series becoming so old that it wont run on the future computers.

You don't nessesarily need to buy a NEW one you know... And if you want the new stuff, here is what I would do (and one of these I am using now)
-Partition drive for dedicated Win Xp use
-Dual graphics card using:
1. Newest card, of course, to kick ass with new games and
2. Best card that can run Theif
Best of both worlds, see?

I agree, Thief 3 is a great, one of the best, but I will ever prefer TDP and TMA, always give me more thrilling and creepy ambience, some like every time I play a new FM, I feel more variety, more customizable too by Dromed. But heh, is only my opinion :thumb:

This is but a small example of the destruction Deadly hath already caused. Please, friends I urge you to put Deadly down at once. Dark Project was meant to last longer than a day friend...

thanks for the support, the majority thinks like we do. I just dont have the motivation to start playing Thief 3, no disrespect but they tried to make it a fun game. It is a fun game, but it just does not feel thievy. The Dark Mod comes closer to the thief universe than Thief 3. One of the other things are FM like a taffer said, they will be made and be played. No other game was so scary as thief was. you cant tell it, you have to experience it.

if you want to run it unmodified (that means no ddfix),probably ati x1950 series.

Surely it was such an exciting game for him that he couldn't stop playing? I remembered when I started playing TDP - I couldn't stop playing either, but I forced myself to stop so I could lengthen my joy.

If you don't have the $200 bucks for the ATI x1950, the ATI x1650 runs around $50 and works just fine (and is AGP compatible). Now that ATI has solved the fog issues, the 1650 is a bargain.
