Baskets, knives etc. have bugger-all use except if you steal them you can sell them. Apart from that, they're decoration.
As for your home, you could kill someone and nick their house (not recommened) or join one of the Great Houses and get one built for you.

Not recommended? I recommend it... As long as the man you're killing isn't important. Their houses tend to be more spacious than the ones you get from the great Houses. Of course, you could always have multiple homes. Still, a good house to use is the center mansion in Balmora, up on the little 'plaza' (from the silt strider, it's a bit North East.) The man in there is already dead. Only his wife is alive, whom you can kill if you want.

I like to build a house better but can somewon of you explain how to do?

Are you looking to build the house in the Construction Set, or 'build' one with one of the Great Houses, in game? If you use the Construction Set, you can tailor your house to your own needs. If you go with one of the Great Houses, it's pretty much preset... but it's still your house.

But where can i find the Great Houses?
RyushiBlade on 28/2/2004 at 23:20
The Great Houses are House Hlaalu, House Telvanni and House Redoran. Each house has a canton in Vivec. In Balmora, there's a House Hlaalu place too in the North East part of the town. Talk to people and they'll ask you to join the House.
