I'd like to point out that downwinder, in his OP, never said he wanted someone to make that mission. He just said he had a great idea for a mission. He never asked anyone to use it.
I know that we've had many numerous posts of this kind over the years. Lots of people have ideas for missions but never open Dromed themselves. I think that's fine. Not everyone can be a mission author. Enthusiasm isn't enough. You have to have the time, the inclination, motivation, determination. Some people just don't have the time or the desire to put their energy into that. That doesn't mean they shouldn't be enthusiastic about Thief and FMs. Does it?
I think this would be a pretty dull place if the only threads were mission release threads. Especially since they are becoming fewer and farther between. We need lots and lots of other kinds of threads, lots of discussion and lots of enthusiasm, whatever form it takes.
We need a
community, a diverse mix of people who fill all the roles necessary to keep a
fan community alive. And frankly, that includes fans! We need people like downwinder, bad grammar and all, to keep this place alive. To keep bringing in fresh ideas, or at least fresh enthusiasm. Why would you want to curtail that?
