Er, I think you need some sleep, Digital Nightfall :P

Again, I disagree. I feel that the ending I chose is an awesome forefront for the sequal. That's one of the main reasons I chose it, aside from the fact that I thought it would be damn cool. I only hope we get to import our characters!

In fact, Tong would maybe be his very own personal hero. Hehe! I imagine SHODAN would love to match wits and go head-to-head with Helios/Denton. I wonder who would win in a no-holds-barred battle between these two super-AIs? I wonder who's methods (attack commerce verses attacking communications) would be more effective to Tong and Durdon's dream in the "real world"? </FONT></DIV></BLOCKQUOTE>

Let me clarify: I agree with you that the Illuminati ending is the only really viable point of departure for a direct sequel, I just don't think that it represents the only "successful" ending for DX - I think that actually your efforts in DX must be a "failure" if there is to be a sequel. Success rules out a sequel.
That said, Tracer Tong says, "Use Soap." :D

Right, that's what I said. My words just got twisted all funny. That ending is the only one which allows for a sequal without being a failure, per say. The other two endings are ultimate and extreme victory for whatever goal you belive in - but if there was any sequal, it would ruin such victory, because those vicories are not real unless they are absolute. One is pure chaos, the other is pure order, and the one they will use for the sequal - or I suspect they will - is pure gray.

Congrats for beating DX!
I also think it was good that you couldn't join Bob Page. In fact, I kind of liked Bob Page, especially around Area 51 where he was tauting you, but my likeness was of same kind as I like Shodan. In fact, Bob Page reminded a lot like Shodan (IMO) - he kept tauting me, but it was never annoying. I once peeked around a file that contained all the text for the conversations. It was mostly garbage, but all the text was readable - with developers' comments. It seems that at some point they were thinking of giving Bob Page a maniac laughter, but in the end, they didn't. Which I found a good choice.
So, why did I post this? Err, that's a good question. Oh well, congrats!

Dunno, guys, I have a feeling that the ending they'll use is the Denton/Helios entity ending, and that DX2 will feature JC in the story (rather than as the player character). I reckon the player will (in order to facilitate choice of gender)be the mysterious Alex Denton, the third sibling with an even more interesting genetic makeup (his/her code is something like AAAAAAAB, whereas Paul's and JC's are AAAAABBB and AAAAAABB). My guess is that JC/Helios is off doing its mysterious thing, Paul is probably still with UNATCO or whatever's left of it and Alex (the player) will be a new, next-generation agent.

Depending on how you played
