It seems rather bizarre to me that the woman in the trailer was shouting her infant's name. It's not like he's going to answer, even if he didn't get disappeared.

That's not that weird - if you lost your cat you'd still shout it's name, even though logically it's not gonna go "Yeah?"

Well cats sometimes come when they're called. 6 month olds not so much.
(yeah, people often do irrational stuff when they're freaked out, but this is fun)
