Heh, (
http://pixelsmashers.com/?p=1050) Wings of Liberty has a RRP of $60 USD. It's typical Kotick. Like with the CoD:MW2 RRP being ridiculously high and the MW2 Stimulus Map pack costing $15 USD, they're charging that price because they can, the audience will lap it up in droves.
I'm eager to see what Activision do when the "Heart of the Swarm" and "Legacy of the Void" retail releases are formerly announced. If they're priced as full games ($50-60 USD) it will be awesome, the burns delivered would be glorious indeed. It'll be even sweeter if they don't keep their promise of the Zerg and Protoss campaigns being 30 missions long each (i.e. equal length to the full game's campaign).

Um, the RRP of all new games is ~€50 here, which is more than $60, so fair enough? I don't see why the Americans should always get their games cheaper than me.
Amazon are currently selling it on pre-order for ~€41, which is $50 anyway.

This is one of the few times when that overused airplane gif can be appropriately trotted out.

Considering it not only went for quite some time without being used, and considering you live near a metaphorical airport, I'd hardly say it was overused.
