I suppose a guy's voice can change quite a bit in 12 years though.
So can audio compression.

Imagine what happens when ten million people suddenly all start downloading the same file.
I was talking about people preloading the game when they intended to buy it retail. I think.
Koki on 25/7/2010 at 15:27
Well there are people too fucking lazy to put a DVD in the drive actually.
june gloom on 25/7/2010 at 20:51
Or too fucking poor to buy a new DVD drive because the one they've got is slowly shitting the bed.
Assidragon on 25/7/2010 at 21:57
Yeah, people who can't afford cheap DVD drives certainly can dish out roughly five times as much for SC2...

Priorities, man!

Finished preloading, simply waiting for the day and time to buy and activate, w00tw00t!

Here's a somewhat-interesting article about the use of narrative in
Starcraft if anyone's interested:
(

I think the author exaggerates how much of an improvement
Warcraft 3 was over
Starcraft in terms of narrative in an RTS (not to mention the fact that WC3 aped one of the main plot points from SC).
Personally, I had no trouble following the story in SC and connected just fine with the characters.

Yeah, he kind of skips over the fact that Warcraft III's story was basically a carbon copy of Starcraft's.
Speaking of which, at one point (despite sucking at RTS games) I tried playing Brood War just to see how the story played out. And man, was it story-light.

Sup dudes and dudettes! I'm totally going out to pick me up a copy of a certain game called Starcraft 2 by little company called Blizzard. I'm sure you might've heard a few things about them. But whatever. Dunno why I'm wasting my time with all you drippy nooblets when I could be standing in line alongside all the other cool kids waiting for what could possibly be the greatest game of all time. So I'm outta here. Fuck yall later and shit. PACE! \m/:mad:\m/
And in honor of Zylonbane, tonight I shall eat Taco Bell and listen to Disturbed whilst driving to the mall.
