Well, it's good that they cater for the gamers who can't sit still.
Anyway, anyone tinkered around with the editor yet?, the ui stuff is pretty flexible, I managed to get a class selection ui up along with a playerlist showing information on each players pick and ready state.

After playing for a while on a friend's computer, I think the campaign's not bad. It reminds me of the campaign in Dawn of War 2 a lot, except DoW2 had many extremely repetitive missions and re-used the same maps a lot. Each mission in SC2 feels unique, since they almost all have some twist or unique element. Unlike the previous games, it has many non-story-critical missions that add flavor to the game. I might end up buying it if they fix the clusterfuck that is the new Battle.net.

Koki actually makes a couple solid points. The graphics aren't terrible, exactly, but they sure don't aim much higher than the cutting edge of 2006, and the music is holy-fuck-is-this-really-happening execrable.
The cutscenes are effective in their HIGH DRAMA way, despite the fact that they're basically a collection of cliches set to placeholder writing.

I dunno, I didn't like the music at first, but it really grows on you.

If you have horrible taste in music, then yes.
Note: I'm talking about the atrocious Airwolf-rejected guitar shit from the missions, not the mostly agreeable dusty country that populates the cutscenes/ship.

There's a very easy AI option in vs AI matches.
But the option koti was playing on was actually more appropriately named "casual".

Storywise I'll agree, artisticly they're amazingly crafted and baked from the cinematic content, it's wellmade and wellshaded stuff.
The ingame stuff is easy on systems but still well made, but people tend to grade graphics after how many polygons it's pushing, not the consistency, quality by budget, or the overall together.

I have nothing against graphics quality, it's the style that irks me. Everything is bulky, shiny, and colorful enough to make your eyes explode. It's like Starcraft: cartoon edition, complete with nonsense like planes turning into walkers.

Actually, that was a rather common complaint against Warcraft3 as well. Makes me wonder if they changed the art direction for all their games, or it's the engine they (re)used.

I wanted to write "Warcraft 3 in space" but bit my finger.
It was a bugger in Warcraft 3, yeah, but it was fantasy so you could just get used to it.
