Colossi and tanks are armored? So what? 9 range. 11 range. Splash. And I haven't even touched force fields.
So what, you're going to get one free shot before the stim'd ball will roll into you? Because you can't possibly be suggesting that you're going to kite. Why? Concussive Shells!

It's pretty much why professional players don't complain about marauders
Professional players never make ANY comments about the game balance so it's a moot point. Meanwhile, just about every Diamond player agrees that at the very least conc shells should be nerfed.

Concussive Shells is a Marauder upgrade which is researched at a Tech Lab attached to a Barracks. Any enemy units hit by the Marauder's attack have their movement speed reduced by 50% for 1.5 seconds. Their attack speeds remain unchanged.
Massive units (See: Colossus) are not affected by this ability.Quote:
Force Field is an offensive/defensive spell cast by the Protoss Sentry. When cast, the temporary Force Field will block the movement of any ground unit (Massive non-hallucination units excluded). Each Force Field lasts for 15 seconds.
As for tanks, they ought to have plenty of mineral dump meat shields in front of them. Given how much gas they cost. There's a reason Tank/Viking/Marine is standard play in TvT.
Come to think of it, there's really no point in continuing this argument. Koki's theorycraft is just that.

All other factors aside(The Third Floor is the company that does cinematics for Blizzard, real voice actors) I am willing to believe this is genuine based on one thing only:
It's just so fucking bad.

Pre-vis work, not cinematics.
Scrapped WOL ending more likely.

The new patch released today adds chat channels.
I'd say that's pretty low on my list of priorities for what needs fixing, but at least it shows that Blizzard are listening to their fans to some extent. Hopefully they'll look into cross-region play next.
Edit: chat channels seem all right, if a bit basic. They don't even support /me.
Edit #2: It also adds the ability to modify all game hotkeys, with a rather nice new interface screen to do so.

Chat channels are really poorly done IMO, and the new diamond league icons are silly looking...

I've just got SC2 and started playing it. Quite fun so far. I've been doing the campaign on hard as I though normal might be too easy, and got up the train level which is actually quite tricky!
I tried some Multiplayer, and got rated into the bronze league after my 5 rating games. I've been playing as Zerg (which I played in SC1) and the changes are quite cool. Main problem I had was against proxy zealot rush... they were hitting me with 2 zealots at the same time as I had about 6 zerglings, which wasn't enough to hold them off before my roaches hatched.
Dealing with massed void rays also seems rather hard (although, don't let them mass void rays would work...)
Massed marine/medic/marauders is rather hard to defend against without broodlords or infestors. I managed to mind control all their medivacs and fungal growth the marines, then send in the zerglings who got healed by their own medivacs once, which was quite fun :) Hard to pull off though.
Main problem playing zerg is that Mutalisks still run off and die if you don't babysit them!
Anyone have any tips for defending an early Zealot rush, or MMM or massed void rays?

I can't really give good advice for Zerg, as I haven't played that race in SC2 much (I'm useless at them, and also despise the totally broken larvae macro mechanic), but I can give you some general advice.
Most importantly, get your scouting going on. Keep overlords near their base, and make sure to scout out the corners of your own base for potential proxy pylons/gateways. Send out a scouting drone, depending on how far your enemy is from you. I always send one at 9 supply as Protoss, it might be slightly different for Zerg, but some time around then, unless your enemy is close enough to be spied on by overlords early on.
As zerg, when defending, always fight on the creep when you can. Pull drones off the line to fight if the enemy are in your base and outnumber you - better to lose a few and hold it off than to lose first your army and then all your workers.
If you spot a proxy gateway going up, pull some workers to help destroy it quickly, or throw up a spine crawler if you think you'll have enough time. Once you hold off the initial wave, throw anything you have at the enemy base, it will be undefended. Even 6-8 zerglings should totally cripple your enemy.
Mass void rays should be a lot easier since their massive damage nerf when charged. Try to kill the enemy before they get to build too many, as void rays are slow to build. If you do see them building up a large army, make sure to attack it before it reaches your base. Use light units to kill them - mass mutalisks should murder them cost-for-cost, and mass hydralisks should also make short work of them, especially on the creep. Also consider using fungal growth on them if you have Infestors. Don't bother using corruptors against void rays, mutas and hydras work better. Queens can help in a pinch, but you need a lot of queens.
The best defence against MMM is always spells. Use fungal growth on them, then attack them with a mix of zerglings and banelings. Make sure you detonate the banelings on the marines, not against the marauders. Also make sure the zerglings are at the front of your attack, so that they get auto-acquired first. Always try to arrange pincer movements so that you can get a good surround on the enemy. Brood lords, in numbers, should also be able to easily defeat MMM, so long as they have some support.

I've been playing as Terran in Multiplayer. I won one of my rating games, got put in bronze league and then had an unbroken run of 15th defeats.
The 16th game I won because my opponent declared he was 'bored' with my Turtle shell island base tactic and quit the game.
Great fun though, I'm determined to try and improve my game.
