I agree, I would have really preferred the original voice actor. Maybe it's just nostalgia, but I think he had a cooler voice.
I love how they are trying something different for story presentation in an RTS. I always wanted to see the characters and environments up close and personal. Awesome. :thumb:

I'm sure one day Blizzard will learn to write a plot which doesn't centre around the apocalyptic end of all existence.
Not this time though.
Ah well, the single-player campaign is dead to me. Good thing SC can sell on its multiplayer alone.

especially when it's just a hackneyed, dumbed down version of WH40K's overall theme. seriously, where are the elder deities that
eat hope?

Saw it on (

Looks like they're going episodic with Starcraft II, even though I haven't seen anyone use that word, I am sure it will remind everyone of the EINO (episodic in name only) Half Life 2 Episodes... i.e. we wait two years in between games. At least each of the three will have full muliplayer (so I've read) so there'll be
really no reason to get the follow up installments, unless you care about the single player game (never bothered with single player in Warcraft, II, III, or Starcraft, personally) or want the "new units" I hear will be in each update.
The great news, though, is now we can watch the starcraft fans bicker a hole into eachother just like the diablo fans! :D

Just a note for people who are interested, this event is being discussed in the Diablo 3 thread as well.
Koki on 11/10/2008 at 17:19
And in Warcraft 4 thread too.
In comparision, there's not a single thread about DX3.

(
http://ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=118287&page=7) Hi there. That thread even has input from a development studio staffer.
TBH, I'm hardly losing sleep over "Project Snowblind 2: Gears of Deus Ex".
Koki on 11/10/2008 at 18:57
Yeah, I know there's one in DX forum. Just funny how games without own boards are all over the place.

About this "trilogy" bullshit, you've got to be fucking kidding me. This is such a money-grubbing ploy that I'm about to hurl everywhere. If this actually goes through, I know that I for one am not going to drop a DIME on another blizzard game as long as I live. Piss on blizzard.
dj_ivocha on 11/10/2008 at 20:07
I own 4 legit copies of Starcraft... If blizzard charges $150 for the trilogy and/or makes me wait more than a month or so for each new installment, I won't be owning a single legit copy of SCII. :grr:
