It's still fifty years since he was born, dammit. - by Gingerbread Man

You have to be a certain kind of guy to rock a moustache of that calibre, and he definitely was.
Well said! *raises coffee mug*
(It's 9 am here, but I'll raise the pint later today!)

This was a man who knew the volume of life. It wasn't 3 or 5 or even 9.
I think we all know I would be tipping a drink anyway but now I have a damn good excuse. The world is less without him.

Thank you Gingerbreadman. x . and thank you all of you. I am blown away.
Whenever I think of dad, I sometimes think of this site. I check occasionally in. To see if he is still remembered. And sometimes he is. In a way.
I love it.
But this... It's a whole new sense of WOW now. I saw this and I choked, I was amazed.
To think that all of his close family and friends are still thinking about him is one thing... but to see this. People from far far away. After so long.
wow x

Your dad was very well-loved, here and lots of other places. :)

There are times when remembering isn't the tough part. It's the part where I keep expecting him to pop up in a thread and realizing I've forgotten again that he's not here. There were some things he told me when I was first diagnosed that are only starting to make sense just now. He was all Yoda like that sometimes. :D

I still keep some private messages he sent/replied to me. Wish I had a few of the log chats of IRC from whenever he popped in #thief. It was always a pleasure and insightful to talk to him.
:)

Drew was a nice guy. Glad to see that most of the other taffers are still around.
