I have had about 1 hour's sleep but I'm going to go to campus and retrieve my essays, then print that shit light that shit smoke it :cool:

You know, now that you mention it there is something that looks kind of fishy about the third pic, maybe it's the socks (tumbleweed suggested that it implies he's otherwise naked, which wasn't the intention, i promise) or maybe it's the general pose (it's a bit "liza minelli" I guess).

Still all things to come out in the wash. :)

(i should probably explain the socks thing comes from the first idea that I had for a really basic childish plotline, btw, where Thom would be all wanting to wear clothes like people but eventually realises he doesn't need to - or something - but I am trying to get out of the habit of equating every picture with that first plot idea, and most likely drop that altogether).

I have had so little sleep, and now i have to trek across london to hand in about four trees worth of essays :eek:

Congrats, mang. I just handed in a 10,000 word essay and two films - my last written work of the year. It feels good. Using Thom for a children's story is a seriously good idea- he's a great character and you can draw him to a standard that would please any publisher. I don't know what age group you're aiming at but I hope you're thinking to do some !"grander scheme" kind of stuff like Krazy Kat or Dr. Seuss where a simple story or problem can be construed as an ethical or emotional one- I can't quite explain what I mean but you know those cartoons and stories you revisit when you're older and you realise that there was quite a powerful, adult message behind them. It's the kind of work that is timeless.

It is individual. Fuck, Tom is like the most common name ever.

I actually have a friend who spells his name Thom, and GODDAMN if he won't let us forget it. :rolleyes:
