I've got Save-itus. Save me! (pun intended) - by DSept

I'm the same as Aja and Jashin. I rarely ever save my game (probably because I play mostly multiplayer games) and get frustrated when all the work I had put into completing that level goes down the tube. Thief at least has levels to start on. I am notorious for putting a couple of hours into an RPG, dieing, and losing all my progress. :eww:

Anyway, now I have ALT F1 and ALT F12 as quicksave and load respectively.
Yes, that's totally different from Alt-S and Alt-L. They're right next to each other!
Anyway, this thread has confirmed my suspicion that compulsive quicksavers have other, much more extensive mental problems.

Hardly, it's just that it's more interesting if we share humourous stories as well. Besides anyone can use whatever buttons they like; just because it's more 'logical' to you is irrelevant to them.

I have the exact opposite. I believe in myself so much that some times I lose upward of 30 min of progress. I reload and do it again.
That's sounds even worse than quick-loading all the time. I think I would give up if I lost all that progress.

He said F
12. Although that doesn't address the problem of accidentally pressing the wrong keys.

I never use QuickSave/QuickLoad for precisely because in the moment of frustration that may occur when failing at Thief, it's all to easy to press the wrong keys.

Oh I see what you mean now. Got well and truly owned there.

Don't worry Gnome; I've done worse. I have, on odd occasions, gone to pick up something in my room or open a door and become confused when it doesn't highlight... :erm: I think Thief has a strange way of just creeping into your real life over time.
LOL, I know what you mean. When I walk with my dog out at night, there are some neighbours with treest or lanterns which really remind me a lot of the Thief atmosphere. And ever when I alk by, I see these houses in the spirit of playing a Thief level. :)
I wonder what they would do if I suddenly appeared under their window sill and noticed me or such. :)

The troll has spoken, talk about mental disorders :weird: ;)
Anyway Alt-S is next to the leaning Alt-W key combo, this would risk an accidental save when playing. I chose Alt-F1 and F12 since they are nowhere close to any other combo I use and accidental saves are non-existant. But ZB, I will run my next key assignments by you for approval, yea right :laff:

Being a good thief, they would only see me at the last moment - if any at all. *WHACK* :)
