I went to the police station first. Therefore, Maggie wasn't in her apartment when I got there.
I did see her talking to Bob Page when I visted level 2 of Versalife. And next when I got down to the UC.
So instead of killing her, I ran around the UC with her chasing me, then hit her with a tranq dart.
Amazingly, she didn't drown while escaping through that long underwater tunnel as an Ai would have done in Thief.
So now, I have brought her along with me on all subsequent levels.
I've taken her back to the Luminous Path's compound to show to Tracer Tong, to the Lucky Money for drinks with the Dragon Heads, to Hell's Kitchen, to the ship, she was kind enough to wait for me near engineering while I ran to set my charges.
She's came with me to Stanton Dowd's estate, and is now with me in Paris, where we shall enjoy the Paris nightlife together with my old friend Dr Reyes.
She's really not a bad person at all. Never complains, nor gets in the way, unless I have to draw a weapon quickly while carrying her.
I think she's going to be with me for the rest of my life. Since I intend to once again go the Dark Ages route.

Lol! She's prettier to carry around the game than anyone else I could think of. My original intent was to drown in the tunnels like we do in Thief, but she lived so I held onto her.

Can you explain exactly how you did that, i too would like a companion on my future deus ex missions.

If you have the Invisibility aug, once youre' conversation with her is over, just run around the circle, and get out of her sight. Sneak around behind her with your catle prod and knock her out. Then take her through the tunnels, after killing that (damn, I always forget the name of that animal) thing in the tunnel. She won't drown like in Thief, and you can carry her through the various saving and reloading that takes place on the way back to Tracer Tong.
Since then, she's still with me at X-51 which is where I left off the last time.
I'm hoping that one of these days she'll wake up, but of course, the game would have no dialog for her. Hehe! You can do this with anyone in the game I suppose.

What's exactly the point of drowning people in thief? I guess you're talking about blackjacking them and then killing them by drowning. In that case, wouldn't it be faster to directly kill them with your sword or bow? Or do you drown them just to hide the corpses?
I went through the whole Thief game, and i never understood what was the blackjack for (silence, non-violence?)

(Just imagine i've written something very clever here)

Because in Thief, we generally have an aversion to killing unnecessarily. You're a thief not a murderer.
In DX, you're a trained killer not a Thief, so we go about killing.

I _shot_ Maggie in the head the moment she pulled out her lightsaber. I guess she wanted me to use my lightsaber too but my assault shotgun is way better, heheh.
Ummm, I wouldn't want to carry all that dead weight with me but it sounds fun to bring a woman from Hong Kong to New York to Paris.

It was just an experiment that was funny, and I continued it on and on.
