the movie is an interspecies sex-fest, just bring out your tentacle and you're ready to go.

Because I now live somewhere akin to the moon, there were 9 other people in the cinema with me, none of whom I could see or were inclined to throw popcorn, rustle bags or take frequent piss breaks. This was an awesome state of affairs because without any distractions whatsoever I was on Pandora for 2 hours and 40 minutes and it was undeniably charming.
Unfortunately, there was a short 5-minute break in immersion whilst they changed the reel (lol, srsly)
Yeah, the story could have been better and the ending was predictable and why is this movie now fast and furious in helicopters but I had a massive fucking grin on my face most of the time and you can't buy a massive fucking grin for £5.50 round these here parts very often.

I agree, I thought its immersiveness (and the blue boobs!) made up for its predictability.

I was wondering when that would come up.
Loads of nudity, no nakedness. Pretty awesome balance, because I'm sure it would have looked forced if the Na'vi were more "decently" garbed.

You'll not be getting the extended edition BluRay with the cut alien sex scene, in 3D, in it then?
Aside: PS3 Avatar game has a stereoscopy option built in. Weird, since there are not TVs that can display it yet afaik.

The theatre in my home town frequently has films cut out near the end because they can't be bothered getting a projector that can run long films.
5.50 Englandmonies? I'm going to have to pay huge dollars for it 3d or no 3d. Why do they torment us with such high prices here? :erg:

I'm pretty sure that the TV part of the deal is already here, it's just that Sony haven't released the rest of the "package". As you probably know, on the PC, (
http://www.nvidia.com/object/3D_Vision_Main.html) nVidia have stereoscopic capabilities available on most "gaming" cards from series 8 onwards, requiring just their own glasses and any 120Hz display, and last I heard Sony were gearing the PS3 on roughly the same sort of tech, but requiring a 200Hz display. So there is the possibility we're just a pair of glasses and a software update away from stereoscopic PS3 gaming. Some were even suggesting that might actually roll out in 2010, but take that with the usual grain of salt.
