Why would you show a Russian girl a Russian movie? Maybe there's some guy logic there, but if I was dating someone from another country and he wanted to show me a Finnish movie, I wouldn't be terribly impressed.

I always took Japanese girls to look at the Anime section of the hip local video place and they were usually stunned. Albeit in a "...the fuck is wrong with you people?" kind of way, but still.

So we watched A New Hope this evening but she didn't like it that much. Said it was OK but that she liked Indiana Jones (the first 3 movies) better. So I'm not sure if we are gonna watch the rest anytime soon. Probably not, at least until I run out of more interesting (for her) movies, so a month or two at least. :p Oh well, we don't have to like the same stuff all the time anyway so no big deal.
So, on to First Contact next. Hey, did the Vulcans at the end do their Live Long and Prosper sign? I haven't watched it in a while and forgot if they did. There's apparently some delivery guy at her work who always greets her with it so she's somewhat interested to see where it came from.
