JCS is one of my favourite games on the iPad. The gameplay is not of the "go as fast as possible" variety but rather of the "get to the end in one go" variety, the same as seen in Tricky Truck and Trackmania's platforming levels. On the surface the sequel looks like the same old thing except with curvier roads and more cars, but there's a lot more going on under the hood (that's a little car metaphor for all you racers!). All the cars handle quite differently, there's a few new gamemodes including races against AI opponents, and there's a Level Editor (which looks quite easy to use, haven't tried it yet).
The base game of JCS2 is free on iOS, though it only comes with all the cars and a bunch of levels. The rest of the levels and the level editor are unlocked as in-game purchases. I recommend anyone who's into Trackmania or Nitronic Rush to give it a go. It's a brilliant game and a legitimate reason for non-iOS-gamers to be superjelly.

That looks fun. I loved Stunt Car Racer on Amiga and every now and then have wished for similar modern games, although there's Trackmania I guess. Never heard of Nitronic Rush before, but it looks a bit spazzy. I'll pick this up when it gets to Android, thanks for the heads up!
