Oh my god! I played the demo of this ages ago and loved it, been trying to remember the name of it for a while now, thanks! :D
You're welcome! Funny thing is, I never played it, just remembered seeing it in magazines in my childhood.
Thought of two more, too:
(

(
http://www.mobygames.com/game/windows/worms-3d) Worms 3D [3rdP, SP/MP, 3]
And, if 3D games with 2D gameplay count: (

Games featuring Boba and Jango Fett.
Star Wars: Bounty Hunter in particular.

(

Not to mention you can build things out of Lego-like blocks. There's no Mobygames page, so I just linked the official website.

Maybe because the jetpack in Duke3D is booooring? There's no inertia, no acceleration. The thing stops on a dime and just... blergh.
WAH I WANT REALISTIC PHYSICS IN MY 1996 DOS GAME
it's got a fucking jetpack, what more do you fucking need

Pilotwings 64 isn't a DOS game, but it came out in '96 and had great jetpack physics.
