This bit, especially, sounds juicy:

"Thomas has plans to start up a two-person independent game studio with an unrevealed partner, and work on a project that draws upon immersive simulation games such as Thief. The former creative director did not share specific details about his immediate plans."

Any thoughts on possible partners?

I think JT should just make the game that the initial XCOM FPS trailer promised... :cool:

Speaking to (http://www.gamesindustry.biz/articles/2013-07-01-bioshock-2-creative-director-leaves-take-two) GamesIndustry following a (https://twitter.com/nullspeak/status/347185142093205504) quiet Twitter reveal that he’d left 2K Marin, Thomas says of his time on Infinite that “It cemented for me that while BioShock spoke to me, it’ll never be for me what it is for Ken. I’ve expanded that legacy here and there, but I could never have created it from scratch. I need to build something that is, to me, what BioShock is to Ken. No matter how long it takes, I have to start now.”

He talks of doing something akin to Thief and BioShock, but “with a radically different focus.” The only other clue we get to his plans is that he’s inspired by the relative ambiguity of Binfinite’s ending.

This is potentially very, very interesting. Interesting chap and the fact that he's going indie, which means he should have freedom to do something left field and awesome.
