Jukebox a little less under construction... - by Digital Nightfall

Well, today was my first day of my little break from school (the good Doctor is giving the class a week off before we get the next assignment!) so I decided to spend it making good on that little 'under construction' tag I put on the jukebox, and do some actual constructing.

The official soundtrack for Thief DS is now finally included.
<a href=http://www.deusex-machina.com/music/>Deus Ex</a>
I kept with the design of DX-M.com here, using the old never used interface graphics plus the old school comic book style artwork for the game. All in all, this was just getting me warmed up for...
<a href=http://www.deusex-machina.com/music/dx2.htm>Deus Ex Invisible War</a>
... this one. This is the one I spent the most time on, though ironically it's probably the least pleasing to the eye... it's not really supposed to be. I had an idea and decided to go with it. <a href=http://www.stormdamage.org/darkglass/manchester/wall.jpg>this</a> is the original image. Insert one heavily photoshopped Omar, and one very heavily photoshopped NG poster, and there you have it.
<a href=http://www.ttlg.com/jukebox/anox/>Anachronox</a>
Included for the obvious ION Storm connection, plus the fact that it's a great game with lots of great music. I went with a by the book game interface + editing + insert character images here with the design, but sometimes it's fun to not push the envelope and just make something that looks cool.
<a href=http://www.ttlg.com/jukebox/crus/>Crusader</a>
Like Anox, great games, great music, but here the real connection is Straylight Productions, who made the music for the game - Alex Brandon, musician for Deus Ex, is/was a member of Straylight. I almost went with the cliche, black, flames, yellow striped bar, blah blah design for this, but felt very dissatisfied with it. After all, I was doing this for FUN, not because I had to... so I dug a little deeper and found the cool news brief document that came with the game... tons of cut & paste later, I got something I was excited about.
Let the complaints about broken links begin!

Ooh, Crusader! The menu music from No Remorse is one of my favourite games tunes ever. Well done and thanks, Digi!

I was just checking out the DX:IW music, and the only MP3 I'm interested in doesn't seem to be there! The only in-game music I really liked was the stuff that plays when you break Ava Johnson's helicopter away from the WTO, am I just too tired to see it there maybe?

The official soundtrack IS lacking, yes it's true.
At one point I was going to do with DXIW what I did with TDS: extract the music from the game files, organize it, do some simple mixing, and release that, but I could never find the time!
As for Crusader... the menu music for Regret is actually the ringtone on my cell phone... :D

Haha, Remorse's menu music was my old ringtone too! :D

The Deus Ex 2 soundtrack files aren't tagged. Is that intentional?
Digital Nightfall on 19/10/2006 at 02:21
No, that's the way they came from eidos. I just didn't think to write tags for them.

I don't mean to be too picky or annoying, but not all the music in Deus Ex was composed by Alex Brandon or Reeves Gabrels. Several pieces were composed by Brandon's former Straylight Productions cohort Michiel van den Bos (like the atmospheric UNATCO theme).

That's not picky or annoying, twist. If I didn't care who actually made the music I'd have just labed it all ION Storm. Do you know what other tracks were made by Michiel van den Bos?
