btw -
lord seth IS killable - if ya drop him in the river! :sly: :ebil:
I prefer roasting him on his own camp fire, although it takes a long time. You know, I like my meat "well done".:ebil: Consider Seth G.I.A. - grilled in action.
Besides, I don't have to carry or lure him all the way towards the river for that.:cheeky: I'm such a lazy thief...

Is the sequel being worked on actually? :)
I really enjoyed this mission, the Hammerite village looked great!
I liked the village, too. Unfortunately, it doesn't look good for a sequel. In the list of abandoned fan missions, The Phantom mentions that Sir Balu was last seen on the forums in 2006 (and his entry in the TTLG members list says the same), and there has not been any other contact with him either.

methinks Sir Balu be the victim of his new job gone awry!
mad scientists ya know, so often fall to their own oversights! :cheeky:
(and he is inexperienced at it all to boot!)

Where's Rufus' room?
EDIT: Found it, jumped into the water and discovered the other side of town

I don't know if anyone is still visiting this thread but anyway...
After 2 hours of running in circles trying to open the chest in Engineer William's house I read the Nightwalker's hints... but now I Don't know what to do with the ceremonial hammer & where to find the "Tome of the Crimson Hammer" referenced in "the Heart of St. Francis" (btw I read the book in Rufus' room noting the aforementionned relic being required to obtain it.
Also:
-Does dewdrop have any use (ever lol?)
-What does the button next to the fireplace in Willams house do?
-What do I use the Hammer key for? You don't even need it to reveal the tunnel
-Does the obvioushidden door in the church brick (near the altar) open somehow?
-Anybody found all loot? I'm still missing about 200-300
It'd be greatly appreciated...
Tough mission, and even tougher to ghost!

Posting here does at least inform those who subscribed to the thread of a new posting. That's why I'm writing here now.;)

Well, the key to the chest is
where William himself is, so you first have to find the engineer. To do so, you have to force your way through a "suspicious" brick wall somewhere. To do that, you have to
cause an explosion near that wall. A fire arrow works, but it is said that a detonating mine does the job as well. The spot where you have to do that is
located in the mines; you can find a
shiny new brick wall there, which gives a metallic "bang" once you hit it with something. Shoot a fire arrow at it to open it.Behind that, you will discover
William as well as a Pagan tomb. Read William's last words to get a hint on how to proceed. If you cannot make head or tail of this note, here's the solution:
Shoot a holy water arrow at William's remains to bless him. The deceased will then offer you his key in his hand.If you don't know where you should get
holy water, visit the church.Quote Posted by TaffinOut

It is said that the doll has the power to harm Mechanists in one of the original Thief 2 missions, and maybe in a few fan missions. In this one, however, I did not notice any purpose Dewdrop could serve.

What does the button next to the fireplace in Willams house do?I think this button
opens a small cache in the same room, maybe by letting a painting slide sideways.Quote Posted by TaffinOut
-What do I use
the Hammer key for? You don't even need it to reveal the tunnelIn theory, the Hammer key should
open an iron gate or grating near the spot where you begin this mission, as additional mission objectives on higher difficulty levels show. However, the key does
not really fit there, but the game ends there once the player has completed all mission objectives. I think the key does not really open anything. Whether you need to find it to complete the mission on higher difficulty levels, I do not know.Quote Posted by TaffinOut
-Does the obvious
hidden door in the church brick (near the altar) open somehow?Yes.:cheeky:
Not the answer you expected?;) Then read on:
As far as I remember, there's a hidden switch or button somewehre in the church which opens the door. If my memory is still accurate, years after last playing this nice mission, it is located
on or near one of the large glass windows of the church. Maybe a button somewhere high up on one of the windows. It should be on the same side of the church where the brick door is found, not on the opposite side from which one usually enters the church.

I have found 5 of 6 secrets. There is a wine cellar in an inn with a cook in a kitchen and 3 rooms upstairs. The wine seller has an wall texture that clings like metal when hit. Where is the switch for this?
Never mind. I found it.
To the right is a shelf. Climb on top of the shelf turn right then drop down at the end to find the switch
Good little mission that I never finished way back when. Much better the second time around.
