Why would you do that?
Eshaktaar on 7/12/2008 at 13:51
Because it's the easiest to reach key for your thumb if you've got the left hand on WASD?

Space bar will always be the "Use" key for me.
L-Alt for jump ftw!

Because it's easy on my hand and I don't use the A key for it anymore?

Space is OBVIOUSLY for crouching. RMB jump FTW.

Kay thanks Koki. Best thread since last Thursday.
I've gotten used to the standard Valve game layout. Ctrl for crouch; space for jump; shift to walk/sneak/sprint/etc... Z for prone; Q+E for leaning (when applicable); V+B to cycle through inventory; F for use (else it's E when a game lacks leaning).

Jumping is the lazy programmer's mantle. Hard to believe it's the end of 2008 and we still have jumping.

So this layout started with Valve? Didn't know. I usually go for something similar. Except I almost never use keys to cycle through items, with the mouse wheel being so convenient and all.

Heh. I didn't think about it this way, but you're right.
