I've loaded Ricebugs savegame into DromEd. The potions are in the inventory. This not a test.
You could load it too, just to investigate what's going on. Very interesting ;)

When I do walkthroughs, I add a bunch of invisibility potions to make it a bit easier to get around and do screenshots, check links, etc. And, in case anyone asks, no, that's not how I play the mission.
In GORT's terribly difficult Rebellion of the Builder, I used no potions. You'd know why if you've ever played it. In other missions, wandering AI that are "getting in the way" can be better tolerated when invisible. Alt-F8 doesn't work in the game, only in Dromed.

Alright, you won it!
Because nobody trust me when I say it is possible to ghost, someday, I'll play a walkthrough, and i'll RECORD the run! ^^
You'll see! ;)

Okay he's cheating :D
He should have mentioned that.
I think you have to find out what all those people with dropping issues have in common. I'd start with the scripts.
Ricebug on 27/9/2015 at 13:41
My scripts are all up-to-date. I went through a different fiasco with Lucky Hand, and made sure I had the latest and greatest.

I have replayed my mission.
This bug occure in the island too. More rarely, and sometimes stop itself after a couple of minutes.
I have also noticed a new bug that I was sure it wasn't there before: Sunlight don't work! It is just visual! But I was sure it worked before Oo
WTF?!
The dropping bug works with items too as parchment! I'm very disappointed to see these problems now and never before!
And I swear I don't have touched the mission since the end of the betatest! This is very very embarrassing :erg:
(For the lootlist, I got 6/6 pickpocket and all the loot :ebil: So, I will do the video and publish it on my youtube channel, I just hope that some bugs will not screw the run up ^^' God of luck, gimme the best dies!)
During the run I just made a few minutes ago to check the terrain, I just waste my Ghosting run because of my crate to reach the taffer aware, but I don't care, at least, I have Ko nobody! x)
But let remains in thread, I have although discovered that:
-Save a game while your are holding an object, load, reload. Sometimes the object will be droppable, and sometimes NOT! This is fully random!
I will although make some people victims of the glitch happy, if you spam the dropping key while the game is reloading, you will ALWAYS drop your evil junk on the floor when the game will start!
I did that and guess what? The bug never occured again! Luck or not? I don't know, but it is very efficiant!
I have although nothing to announce to the onces who can't go further than the Safe in the end of the Ship part... :/
I will maybe do that the game will although allow to win if you go to the safeboat... The mission will sounds more stupid but at least everybody may be able to win ^^
But that dropping bug really sounds to be hardcoded... or something stupid again in Dark Engine that we will never be able to explain :/
LarryG on 27/9/2015 at 14:28
Did you say that you did not specify Inventory>Type: Junk on these items? Have you tried adding that to them? Also try explicitly setting Inventory>Can't Drop This?: False
FireMage on 27/9/2015 at 14:39
Of course LarryG!
From the beginning it was checked! can't drop this IS NOT responsible!
Actually, except quest items, nothing in my misssion have the can't drop this tick on!
You can check by yourself!
We though the bug only happens to 'Junk' item. But during my last run, I discovered that even 'ITEM' such like eatables, parchment etc. are affected by the bug!
There is something weird that I just can't explain... We suspect the waves. And it sounds that waves are the responsible. But I would love to know Why? Because if someday, someone make a similar mission, or get the the same bug, how could he knows the source of the problem? :/
Hard to say...
fibanocci on 27/9/2015 at 14:54
You need to optimize the map properly in order to make the sunlight work.
Why do think it's the waves that's the culprit? This is just a theory, too. Ricebug had that suspicion of "firers", because he loaded the savegame. But that's the wrong assumption, since Garrett adds firer links if he's throwing/dropping stuff.

There is a difference between not having a property specified on the concrete and having it specified with FALSE. One has the property unset, the other has it set to False explicitly.
