I'm not sure it will change anything. Because as I told you, the bug or glitch happens Randomly and I really don't want to select all objects, one by one to add them the property with False, because in the case you were true, it will means that the game no care about what the Default properties set by the Gamsystem are ignored.
Or is exist a function to add a property to ALL objects of some kind of type?
fibanocci on 27/9/2015 at 17:46
Try the query-function. Multi-edit.
What is the pupose for the deathstage property on many objects? For example the 'boards ups' (the beams in the mines) can be destroyed with a sword, since slay result is normal.
I've the dromed toolkit installed. It removes the deathstage properties from the objects if I save the mission. Maybe this is the culprit.

I'm not sure either. I'm just offering up another idea for when all of the better ideas have been tried and not helped out.
Ricebug on 28/9/2015 at 11:59
Could be, in fact, be the DeathStage thing. I shot some moss arrows inside the ship and they froze in mid-air.
@FireMage: The OP in the Fan Missions forum mentions the level being shipped un-optimized. No sunlight is one of the results. Plus, you had some pathfinding errors. Sorry, but the extra 10 minutes could have saved you some grief.
FireMage on 28/9/2015 at 22:30
10 extra minutes? OO hue... Did you have really used Dromed?
I have really disregarded the alignment with the grate. If I was around the 13 size or 12 size or not.
If you manage to snap everything carefully to optimize, I'm sorry, it won't be 10 minutes, it will be some weeks because you'll have realign the objects, rooms, AI, make sure that Bounds triggers still working, light etc.
I'm sorry but I think you're kidding when you do like some people "You may do...", things are too easy to ask and suggest, but in matter of action, nobody around because everybody know that it won't be a piece of cake.
I don't want to be offensive, but let's be clear, if you are unhappy with the optimization, architecture, etc, I'll say one thing: Do it yourself!
I have done my mission, I fix the tiny details, as for the rest I don't care and I don't want to be annoyed more about that.
Pathfinding is not the best, lighting is buggy? So what? The mission is playable, winnable and the plot is still there and AI can go to a A point to a B point with no problem. I rarelly saw an AI stuck in the mission.
But I really don't want to see again someone sending me the lecture about "To Optimize".
It is a contest mission and I was one of the rarelly contestant who have finaly publish a mission respecting the deadline.
The others makes promises that they will although try to finish their mission. But I'm seeing that most of them have surely thrown their project in the trash bin.
So please man, feel my anger!
When you are telling me what people in anykind of forum are pointing out in my work:
They can keep their opinions, this is absolutely not constructive critisism to me but free critisism.
As I said this is too easy to point out! May they join a contest and submit before the deadline. I'll be pleased to see If their mission will be as optimized as they want my own missions to be...
Who can tell me how should I create/work? We are in a community of fans dudes, not a company!
LarryG on 28/9/2015 at 22:51
I suppose one should expect a FireMage to flame every now and then. But seriously dude, people are trying to help you. Chill out a little. No one is beating you up, only offering well intentioned advice. If you don't like the advice, don't follow it. But don't get mad at people who are just trying to help you out.
FireMage on 28/9/2015 at 23:09
Excuse me LarryG, telling me, "the bug is (maybe) due to X thing". Saying "you may look at that". This is helping!
Saying "Your mission is not optimized, you should have spend 10 mins to do it because people says it isn't". Where is the help here? How am I supposed to feel helped? This is critisism. Not help at all!
Help means showing the path to a better tomorrow. Not telling what you did bad in the past!
A cristisism is talking about something you did wrong without anykind of explaination. "Lectures" as I said.
There are three days now we are talking about the facts my optimization sucks and light and pathfinding have suffered. I know it already, there are no reason to repeat it everyday! But it's too late! The mission is too big, too advanced to step back with it! Or it will ask titan-like strengh to fix everything! My fault because I have prefered to finish the mission and make it playable and winnable before the deadline than optimizing.
But this is not a reason always remind me that fact!
You see the difference pale?
You helped me! And I accept it with no problem! Even If I'm not sure the idea you gave me may solve the bug. But at least, I'll try, and I know you do it just because you wanted to help.
But there, what ricebug said:

Man! I don't care the OP! May they stay where they are!
And the sentence: "the extra 10 minutes could have saved you some grief"
No!!! Absolutely no! Plus this is completely out of thread what he is talking about!
In the circumstances I didn't have 10 minutes to spend with opti'!
As for the rest, I know it already, but, eh, what could I do? This is not helping at all!
fibanocci on 29/9/2015 at 05:56
Calm down. Did you use the DromEd-toolkit to build the mission?
I've a suggestion for you: Install the toolkit, run complete processing and save the mission. This will delete all the deathstage properties. Test your own map again.
FireMage on 29/9/2015 at 10:00
No worries, just an anger crisis because I'm fed up hearing that my mission is not optimized everytime. Trust me, this is very very annoying to hear that... ><
But let's pass it and go back to thread:
I have Dromed Toolkit already! xD But why are your talking about DeathStage? I have no Deathstage trouble! xD
The DeathStage is a property to set to -1 to make someone immortal with the blood effect! ^^ I use it a lot for unbreakable doors and unkillable AI! ;) This property is a really useful tool!
This CMD function was efficient for old dark due to a uncommun bug that sometimes add deathstage to all entities with no reason. But in newdark, it sounds this one is useful no more.
But, I see the point, I think you just want me to add the "Can't Drop This" prop set to false to all objects by modifying this cmd, right?
I will be although forced to re-set it to true for all the quest object, but seeing that there are less quest objects than 'normal' objects, It may be work. Even if I don't believe it will fix the stuff, I'm too desesperated that I will try anyway. With a few luck, Larry is right and the problem will be solved? (Praise for me)

No, it doesn't work at all. All your (object) beams in the mines with that deathstage property can be destroyed with a sword. I'd call this a bug if I were a tester. But I guess nobody ever tried it.
It's way better to add slay result-->none or a receptron with weapon stim-->abort.
Ricebug mentioned a suspicious arrow. This is a clue for a deathstage bug. You never know when that bug happens. Maybe it's created in the game.
So do what I told you and test it again.
To remove deathstage properties
Hilight_by_prop deathstage
