This is a difficult question to answer without spoiling a little something here and there. So far I have only seen discussion of Liberty Island, Battery Park, and Hell's Kitchen however, all three of which you have admitted to getting to. Which "spoilers" have ruined the game for you and failed to answer your questions?
In answer to your last question, a body cannot be moved until you remove all the searchable items. I know, it's annoying.
[edit]
Okay, I noticed one spoiler that gave away a little something, but very little as I believe it's mentioned on the box.
[/edit]

All right, I'll admit, I probably should have put a spoiler tag on that last bit. I'm sorry. It was meant to be a joke anyway, though I supposed I would have been better off using
Spoiler:
the underground MJ12 base

in Hell's Kitchen, which is just as fictional.
In any event, the place I mentioned above is talked about in Hell's Kitchen,
Spoiler:
when you talk to Jock, the helicopter pilot in the bar. It's worth buying him a few drinks, IMO.

Thus, in my defense, I didn't think it really was very much of a spoiler at the time.

The great thing about realistic is that it keeps you on your toes, always. I remember playing on easy when I could shrug any shot and keep going even without protection. Now, even the simplest of NSF terrorists is a potential instant-kill. If he gets a shot, you can probably be sure that one of your body parts will be missing. Pray it's your leg.
As for the prod, it's alright, I guess. I never really found a lot of use for it after I found a steady supply of the ammo for the main gun I'm using. It's just a bother to run up behind them and prod them. Shoot them at any range with the laser sight on and you'll have an easy kill. Also remember not to put a scope on your gun as it will nullify the effects of the laser sight. Although, with decent aim the scope ain't too bad either...

I too have just started playing this game and set my starting level to Realistic.
My question is;
How does having a leg at 0/100 effect your mobility? It seems not to. I can still run and jump.
And, seeing as I'm at the realistic level, why am I not KO'd by a tranq dart?
Thats all for now
SubJeff on 19/11/2001 at 12:31
It's odd about the leg. Loose both and you'll see a big difference.
My first time (on the demo) through training - I didn't take out the security bot and was shot to bits. I made it though but I crawled from the far side of the water through the hologram hall to the end of training. The floor is very nice and shiny.
Anyone got an answer on the tranq dart Q ?

I know the feeling Subjective! That damn bot got me too. I had it all sorted, but when I popped my head round the barrier to see if it had turned around it just caught sight of me and let me have it. Luckily the bridge was down and I scampered over to safety. One hell of a way to learn to keep well away from those buggers!
Just thought of another question;
How do I see how much money/credits I have? I've looked on the 'ventory screen, but haven't noticed any info for cash.
Does anyone know?
Jus want to save up enough for that scope on me new sniper rifle

I believe it is on the inventory screen. It is on a small tab above all your items.

If you go to the health screen, you can click on each body part (not the heal or health area, the actual physical representation) and it will give you a description of what happens at various levels of damage. Losing one leg will affect your mobility somewhat, but like Subjective said, losing both will completely deny you the ability to run and jump.

Tranq darts work for you like they do for anyone else. When you get hit with a tranq, you will slowly lose hit points from your torso (10 a second or whenever you hear yourself groan). It's just like when you shoot someone with a dart, they will run around taking damage until finally they are incapacitated. You can potentially die if you don't heal your damage. You're probably not dying because I assume you have some training the Medicine skill. If you read it, you'll see upping this skill will increase your resistance to poisons. The poison is probably wearing off before it has a chance to down you. Try getting hit by the guy on Liberty Island without Medicine skill.

Your cash is displayed on the inventory screen, on the top and on the right hand side of the visual representation of your inventory. It should say "Credits: xxxx".

Sniper rifles come with scopes...

Thanks for this comprehensive reply. I have now found my wallet!
I just discovered (remembered) that my sniper rifle had a scope.
I thought it should, but when equiping with it I was never in scope view. Totally forgot how to bring up the scope to my eye. I am running the GOTY edition (cheap at £10 from Game) which has no manual, so all I learn is from the training session and playing the game (and your helpful insights).
This makes it fun to play as I am still 'untrained' in rifles, so forgetting how to use the scope is not unrealistic.
I think it is now time to stop reading too many forum posts as even those without spoiler warnings seem to be offering tidbits of plot which I am stumbling upon.
So chances are I'll be very quiet on here for several weeks until I can complete my mission. I am just starting out to investigate the 'mole people' back over in Battery Park; after a very shaky performance at the wharehouse where all my plans went to pot.
Adios

The GOTY edition has the manual in pdf format on the disk.
It's a good idea to read it and the newspaper clipping (also in pdf format).
