I've changed my mind. The steath pistol is great when fitted with a laser sight. Two shots to the head and it's all over. I'm glad to see it as I've been wasted by single shots to the head with pistols many times. Hazard of Realistic that happens rarely now that I've learnt how to play better. They never even see me coming. . . And who said you can't play real stealth? The first time a guy sees me is when they turn just in time to be prod-shocked prior to execution by stealth pistol (or the last thing they see is muzzle flash). They still make noise damn it and a knife to the head is noisy too. That prod has too little ammo. I've saved it to max capacity now.
Another Q - I pop these guys and want to move them but can;t pick them up because "I don't have space for the weaponX". But I don't want to pick up the weapon. Can I pick up bodies without searching them?

Another great virtue of the stealth pistol is its high rate of fire combined with its nearly total lack of recoil. It is in effect a completely silenced submachinegun, although with limited magazine capacity.
As far as your earlier question about tranq darts goes, I don't think head shots really affect the time it takes to work on a grunt. You definitely have to get a feel for the delayed effect (or a lot better pistol skill). I used the weapon to snipe from cover - shoot a dart, hide, wait for the thump. If you're at least 20m away, they'll keel over before they can find out your hidey hole. Just make sure they're alone. It gets tricky if there's an alarm in the area - make sure the enemy is far enough from the alarm that he'll drop before he can activate it.
The problem with the bodies is a big flaw in the game. There is a trick to get around it, though: once you have
Spoiler:
the Dragon's Tooth sword

- a melee weapon later in the game - you can gib bodies which will effectively take care of the problem.

Or, you could silence an Assualt Rifle and have a silenced submachinegun. I guess it does less damage, 3 to a stealth's 10, but it's rate of fire is unbelievable (10.0/s). At expert rifles, you can fire with no recoil and with a laser sight or a few accuracy mods, with perfect accuracy. You can easily do 30-40 damage/second. Few people can withstand this when taking it in the face.
Yes, it does not matter if you shoot someone in the head or in the foot, tranq darts will work all the same. The thing about the tranq darts...I forget and I don't think I even tested this, but do the tranq darts do any physical damage on impact? I suspect they will. So, conceivably, you can have an insta-kill but head shot with a tranq dart. I guess you'll "kill" the guy instead of "incapacitating" him. But then again, that's what regular darts are for.

Yes, the assault rifle silenced has several advantages over the stealth pistol in the silent automatic weapons role, but it takes up four times as much space in your inventory. Depending on your play style, this might matter. Me, I wanted the space for the GEP gun, so the stealth pistol's one square size was a further bonus.

I don't know what you mean about the scope nullifying the effect of the laser sight. The laser sight works just as well when you aren't using the scope, and when you are, you don't really need it. It works well for really long range sniping with or without scope.
The silenced assault rifle with master rifle skills is completely deadly. I rarely need you use more than one tap (about 3 bullets).
Oh, and another cool thing about master rifle: the sniper rifle can take out both turrets and cameras
And as for low tech. . . Have you met maggie chow yet?

Spoiler:
the dragons tooth sword is insanely powerful for taking out pretty much anything.

one tip, it takes some practice to get the angle right, but if you side strafe in front of a guy at the right angle BEFORE HE STARTS FIRING, he cannot get a proper aim, and does not fire
Spoiler:
i side strafed up to two guys once, and killed each with the dragonstooth sword, and neither was able to fire a shot at me

I have only one pdf on my CD (German re-release in DVD box) and that's the manual. There is no newspaper clip in there.
Can I find it somewhere on the web? Or could anyone who has it rip the text from the pdf?
My sniper rifle doesn't even scratch the surface of cameras or turrets and it's almost maxed. I hope this will change with the final skill upgrade.

Your bloodstream contains more of those little nanite fellas that neutralize the tranq poison. There is a hit to your health stats though as the process uses your life up.
Same with alcohol and drugs like zyme. You don't stay or drunk or stoned as long as an un-enhanced person and you can't become addicted. Unlike tranq darts, you don't recieve a hit to your health from processing drugs and alcohol

Things like turrets, cameras, alarms etc need to be destroyed in one shot, and if that shot isn't powefull enough to destroy them, no subsequent shots will be either. Master rifle with the sniper rifle can destroy cameras and turrets. Interestingly, though, the DT sword, although it has more damage, is not (I haven't tried it on master low tech, though. I'm told that you can destroy the alarm buttons eith the DT, with master low tech and combat strength)
