I have just bought Thief TDP on ebay and I have a couple of questions..
Is there a fix so I can play the game without the CD in the drive...I tried deleting the reference to the cd in the install.cfg file but then I get an error message when it goes to play the first cut scene....With the config file unchanged it plays it OK...
Orr alternatively can I just copy the disc using RAW mode and use it instead(quite legal here in Oz)...
It is looking like it is going to be a good game...
Edit: Just remember another question, with the texture packs it says to use darkloader to optimise the game, does garrett loader do the same thing??? I don't have darkloader....

Can't talk about any type of anti security fixes here, that's illegal...but you have some options.
You can download my mod for T3 called "the Minimalist Project" (

Minimalist project installs the T3Main.exe from the editor, it has no CD checking. So, if you decide you don't like Minimalist, you can uninstall it...BUT...it leaves the editor version of T3Main.exe behind...meaning you won't be asked for the CD anymore. This is perfectly legit since it's freely available in the editor package. :)
