imagine building where each level is a faction style, lets pretend its a jail mission and you start in the very bottom"it can have underground levels also"and the bottom level lets say is a pagan level so everything on that level can be pagan only, next level up can be lets say pirate/down winders, but the trick is to figure out all the faction in thief and have a building with that many levels one for each faction style
what do you all think
also doesn't have to be jail,it could be anything as long as it has 1 floor for each faction, maybe a hotel/casino,or maybe massive ship with lots of floors/etc
faction list
hammers
mechs/mst include metal child,lol
pagans/must include dewdrop
downwinders/pirates/must have at least one bag of spice somewhere on floor
thieves guild/must have one roulette table on floor
keepers
bug beasts/cray beasts
undead/haunts
mages/must have 1 floor, but broke into 4 parts for each element and contain all 4 talisman somewhere on level
what ever else i am missing as far as major factions in thief1/2/gold
i am guessing around 10 floors give or take, depending on how the assets layout for each floor=meaning enough to make a single floor look complete
rememeber 2016 is coming so you can always make a new years resolution after you bash me for what ever flaw you find in my post,so you will be fresh come January 1 :P

yes i do ,i think i enjoy the idea of starting with nothing and have to escape=i like a challange

Hmm...if the execution was done in a clever manner, where the transition between each floor seemed logical, and the different factions all fit in with the story, it could definitely have potential. I'd play it.

my idea was from those fan missions that have you start say in a underground area with bugbeast and cray beast then you work your way upward to a hammer/mech area, then continue on to another faction/etc end up in some secret keeper compound
the reason i like them is cause after i play a mission like that i feel i did alot in game, compared to say doing a mission in a one style only, unless they done real large
i like a fan mission that is hard enough where it will take 2+ hours to complete, and has replay vaule
would be interesting if i mission say had two paths but when you went down either path it would then become blocked behind you ,forcing you to go with that you picked,so on another play through you can try other paths
it seems to me alot of the older missions had alot more to do in mission and wasent so much about seeing the pretty graphics
dont get me wrong a mission with nice great is cool, but when there is not alot to do,its hard to replay them
i just think the mission have been getting easyer over time, excluding that one mission with lighthouse recently released
yes i do find a triky spot or 2 in a mission but over all they pretty easy
i wish there was a fan contest for real hard missions to complete,i love having to reload when i figure out what i did wrong and then do it right :)

downwinder, I love your enthusiasm for Thief and FMs. I know I and others have suggested this before, but maybe it's time you finally learn Dromed and begin creating yourself? Have you given this any more thought?

The guy has imagination. I think that if he ever gets his hands on Dromed and learn the basics he might make good fms IMO.
