Besides the obvious name of the game, DAEDALUS, ICARUS, how many more things from the past does Deus Ex have? I for example overheard the guards talk in the Catacombs, and one of them mentioned a harpie. That's from mythology as well, but it's not as bold as things like Icarus and Daedalus. Anyone seen more things like that?

Not sure if you're including:
Morpheus- God of Sleep/Dreams
Helios- God of the Sun
...I can't really think of much else, but I'm sure there's something...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but is the cure Ambrosia not an allusion to Greek mythology? An article by Joe Greene mentioned it as the "food of the gods", and the Greeks loved to ponder such things as that.

Yeah it is...
I didn't think of that though, probably because it's a pretty widely used word.

As is harpie.
<small>spoilers related to game passwords:</small>
<font color="F7F7F7">'Damocles' is a computer password in one of the MJ12 Dragon's tooth labs. It's one of DX's fun/implausible associative passwords (sword->damocles).
It didn't occur to me to try until afterwards, but I, and many others with slightly greater than nonexistant German vocabulary I bet would have guessed Gunther's pw in about three tries. (As the note in Alex's office jokes, schadenfreude would have been another guess.)
Did anyone guess any of the passwords in the game, in the way some designer clearly intended?</font>

I thought Ambrosia was something to do with creamed rice pudding and custard. :) (j/k)
