Hey guys, I'm a newbie here; thought I'd extend my greetings n all!
Hope alls well! :thumb:
I'm not sure if I'm allowed to say this in the general forum, if so, please forgive my ignorance :ebil:
I'm going to embark on an attempt to create a system shock game using the Unreal 3 engine; I'm just begining to study SS2 thoroughly in order to capture the essence of it :erg:.
Any help, advice, critique or direction would be greatly appreciated.
My inspiration, besides system shock 2, is Dead Space (1 - 2), Doom 3 and many futuristic films and anime.

Welcome to the forum, just fyi, most "hey i'm new!" threads end up shredded by ill will and inside jokes. So in the mayhem that is sure to follow, take it all with a grain of salt, It's what goes on here.
Nice to hear you're attempting a game mod, but take this advice. Don't try to get anybody's hopes up around here because we've all heard it many many times, and very little ever comes of it. So if you're serious about it, get some work done. show it off, and then you can start working on getting the hype train going.
there's a thread in General Gaming titled "What are you making?" which might be a good place to post some progress if you have any.
Other than that have fun, It's interesting in here. :erg:

Definitely check out the "What are you making" thread in General-Gaming. Updating it with media or your status when you meet milestones might help with motivation & discipline.

Always encouraging to see new people starting up new projects. Anything System Shock is :thumb: in my book. :)
